Checking in with Shelburne, MA

The Official website for Shelburne, MA reveals a
glimpse to a quaint community

We move from Deerfield, MA in our last post to Shelburne, MA in this one, which ironically, was first settled in 1756 as part of Deerfield known as Deerfield Northwest and later in 1775 was incorporated as the Town of Shelburne.  If you are a New England history buff you will enjoy reading their official town website HISTORY section.

It is easy to see that Shelburne strives to serve their community by creating a website that is completely transparent giving great resident information about town services even to include meeting notes of the different committees.   You can see the town maps, zoning by-laws and complete directories with contact options.  This is an enjoyable site to check out the Town of Shelburne.

Local recreation, restaurants and events can be found at this collaboration of local associations, Shelburne Falls Area Business Association and
The Mohawk Trail Association.

If you want to know what’s going on at The Memorial Hall, the next viewing of Pothole Pictures or looking for a place to stay while in the area this is a nice website to check out.  Activities and recreation for this area website are displayed by the Shelburne Falls Business Assoc. and the Mohawk Trail Assoc.  They display a nice list of participating businesses in and around the West County with directory links to business websites.  Their calendar of events is designed for the local community to post upcoming events about West County.  Good link to keep in your favorites!
